Electronic Music from the Aether
Petros Theodorou
Composer of "Tribute to Leon". A work for a dancer, a "Theremin" (the monumental electronic instrument in the beginning of the century), and pre-recorded music made up exclusively by Theremin samples. The piece was completed in co-operation with dancer Efi Tsolakidou (1997). A musician who likes to combine classical and electronic sound, and is often composing music combining sound with elements from the dance and theatre fields in a very personal expessive language. His works are characterised by an intense and poetic inner atmosphere, a compact musical structure, a great variation in both style and references, a narrative and theatrical mood
